Welcome to our website on Complex Causality and Conceptual Change. This site was designed as an extension of a series of AERA discussions (April 2000: Session 23.20 and April 2001: Session 9.09) intended to probe the nature of complex causality in the context of science learning. Our intent is to extend and deepen the conversation and to encourage broader audience participation than is possible in an AERA session.

The site has the following locations:

Under "Papers" you will find a list of the full-length papers (given at the April 2000 symposium or related papers) by the panelists who include: Michelene Chi; John Clement; John Frederiksen and Barbara White; Tina Grotzer and David Perkins; Mitch Resnick; and Uri Wilensky. Immediately following the April 2001 session, you will also find brief reaction papers by the panelists addressing a set of questions that cut across different projects.

Under "Video/Transcript" you can read a transcript of the April 2001 session and view portions of it on line. This link will become active immediately following AERA.

Under "Resources" you can add related items that you would like to share (websites, documents, curriculum information, and so forth).

We look forward to interacting with you. Please send questions or comments about this site to Tina_Grotzer@pz.harvard.edu
