Thank you for your interest in ALPS and the Forums. While the ALPS materials are still relevant and useful today, active development of the site ended in 2002. The efforts of the development work have shifted from a website of resources to providing online professional development courses developed using Teaching for Understanding as the pedagogical basis. You can find information on these courses at:

http://wideworld.pz.harvard.edu

Course participants work with coaches in small study groups to develop and support their educational practice. WIDE course alumni are the able to participate in the WIDE alumni community where they can continue to explore these concepts and share their ideas and work with other course alumni.

Due to the direction of our work we can no longer support the interactive features of ALPS. We are leaving the resources on the web for people to access and use into the future. We hope that you'll visit the WIDE World website to see what we're now offering and that you might participate in a course or two if they seem helpful to you or your school.
