Teachers and researchers come together in this section to provide Pictures of Practice. You'll find sample thinking-centered lessons and projects teachers have developed in their classrooms, as well as published articles and ideas for further reading. Also, teachers provide practical tips and identify some of the learning challenges they faced as they infused thinking into their instructional practices.

  • Pictures of Practice - teachers relay lessons learned and reflections about the teaching of thinking and how it has influenced their philosophy and approach to teaching thinking.

  • Articles - published articles written by Project Zero associates and researchers on the teaching of thinking, plus a list of educational resources (e.g. articles, books, etc.) you may want to investigate for even more information on the teaching of thinking

How to use Information & Resources section

  1. Use this section to connect and deepen your knowledge base of the thinking approaches in The Ways of Thinking section.

  2. Use this section to provide models of teaching thinking. Seeing what other teachers are doing is a powerful way to inform and activate your own ideas about how you'll teach thinking in your classroom.

  3. Use this section as a reference resource on some of the literature related to the teaching of thinking.
