The Research

After spending a year refining the TTAAP initiative and identifying new lines of inquiry at the classroom level, the RMS teachers applied to the Spencer Foundation for a grant that supports the development of teachers becoming teacher/researchers.

Presently, the RMS teachers are developing instructional interventions that foster transfer and are conducting action research in the classroom. The interventions involve

  1. teachers evaluating their development as teachers/researchers through self-assessment and reflective processing
  2. infusing thinking-centered vocabulary, self-assessment, and thinking skills strategies into the arts curriculum
