Week 1

Defining Unit Understanding Goals, Performance Expectations, and Assessment Criteria. Collaboratively Paraphrasing a scene from Shakespeare's Macbeth. Outlining and Applying Blocking and Speaking Techniques to a scene.

Week 2

Cycles of rehearsal and scene revision according to ongoing assessment. Draft Performance Choice Essay. Critique former student performances and movie version, both on video.

Week 3

Dress rehearsal, informal audience feedback session, and grade prediction. Write final version of Performance Choice Essay. Prepare Opening Introduction to scene.

Week 4

Putting it all together on Opening Day Performance and videotaping the project. Students critiquing their peers and the TfU process.
