King Philip Regional School District Bringing Text to Life What Students Have to Say "I was terrified to get up in front of an audience but now I don't mind it." "I learned that reading a play is a lot different than reading a book. You have to read even the stuff in italics or you get lost." "I liked the Macbeth unit the best because really got into it." "I used to hate Shakespeare…it's not really that hard if you try to visualize it…act it out with people." "The paraphrasing at the beginning really helped me break it down so I could understand what they were saying." "I learned that everything you see on stage has a purpose." "I liked how we got to interpret the play with costumes." "I learned that you can use body language to get your point across, not just words." "Writing the essay was hard but it made your really think about why you were doing what you were doing not just doing it." "I liked the fact that we got many tries to get it right and I liked working in teams…sometimes if you didn't get it on your own, when you tried to act it, you had to get it because your classmates helped you figure stuff out. "I liked watching the performances, it was embarrassing but made me want to do better." On to: |
