If your team is working at a distance, or struggling to meet a deadline, you might consider setting up synchronous meetings online. The "chat" feature in the CCDT provides a space where members of a design team can communicate in real time.

1. Click the "Chat" button, located in the second row of buttons across the top of the CCDT.
2. A popup that looks something like this will appear:
   
   
   
3. In the text box labeled as "Message" (at the bottom of the popup), type a message for your teammates. When you're ready to send your message to them, click the "Post" button.
4. Your message will appear in the screen space above, preceded by your name, and followed by the date and time of your posting. The same will happen when your teammates respond to your posts, so you'll always know who's responding.

This space keeps an archive of all team chats. To view the archive of chats for your design, click the "[View Chat Log]" link at the top of the popup.
